London Calling

London fashion week is well underway and I'm here to bring you the latest looks! In London, it seems that there are quite a few under-the-radar designers that not many people here in America have even heard of, but that doesn't mean they are not creating wonderful clothes, the selections here are from designers Erdem, Marios Shwab , and Roksanda Ilinic.
We can see in these collection that the wonderful shape of the sheath dress is definitely still in style for next fall, timeless elegance is never out of fashion.

Latest Trends from NYFW

A constant trend I have already picked up on from the new collections coming down the runway for next fall are brocade cocktail frocks. The shine adds texture and interest to a basic shape and becomes an instant go-to closet staple!

These looks were created for fall 2010 but are already available now at audrey*k! This seasons Plum Favor and Metallic Catwalk are more than still in style for the next fall fashion season, and whats even better is that they are really great for any time of the year. The way the fashion world traditionally worked is that women had separate clothes for each season spring, summer, winter and fall. However, this has changed dramatics even within just the past few years. Phrases like seasonless dressing have entered the fashion vocabulary. Designers now create clothing that is much more versatile, able to be worn year round for the modern women of today!

NYFW (New York Fashion Week) Update!

As New York fashion week begins to come to a close the brightest stars of American design show their new collections for next Fall! I know its silly to be thinking about next fall already but that is how the fashion world is run, fall shows in spring and spring shows in fall. This gives time for production of whatever designs get chosen to go to retail stores from the runways.

So what will we be wearing next fall? So far our favorite collection comes from Carolina Herrera. The classic is truly a wonderful piece that never goes out of style and Herrera is a designer who knows this and consistently gives us modern re-imaginations of classic silhouettes.

The look is easy to achieve on a much smaller budget here at audrey*k! All you need to have this mega bucks look is a wonderful daytime sheath dress such as our Diana or Charm and some richly colored accessories like leather gloves and a textured coat!

I have my amazing, fellow red head stylist to thank!

Audrey's latest style client.

Kristen Nedopak ~ Host & Actor

Prior to meeting Audrey, I considered myself a professional, strong, hard-working woman in the entertainment industry. I was missing something big time though: STYLE! I’m in my early 30’s, yet I was wearing the same outfits as girls in their teens (I can’t believe I’m admitting that now, but it’s shamefully true). I knew what I wanted to look like. What style I’d kill to have. How I wanted the world to see me. But… I had no idea where to start. I also believed than spending too much money on clothing meant that I’d have less to choose from. Now here’s the part where Audrey swooped in for a much-needed rescue! She sat me down and we looked at the styles I adored, and then made a trip to the scariest place on Earth: my closet. It only took her about 30 minutes to ditch years of horrible choices, and what was left was the beginning of my new life. I was so relieved! No more cluttering my closet floor with clothes that didn’t fit right or items that were just way too strange for anyone consider wearing. EVERY choice was a winner! And that’s just the beginning… We went shopping at her amazing boutique (vintage modern, YUM!), where Audrey showed me first hand how stylish and sophisticated I could be. How it didn’t matter what size or shape I was because the right style made me look HOT! Oh, and probably the most important lesson for me: that a few top-quality-yet-well-priced items could be versatile enough to last years. These days, I walk into a room and all eyes turn to me. I get so many compliments on my style, and people I'm looking to impress instantly see success. I have my amazing, fellow red head stylist to thank! XOXO

Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week starts today, so if you would like to keep up with all the premiering styles in high fashion, head over to style or elle!

This is where the new trends are born each season. Fashion week actually is an ongoing event so it would be better to call it fashion month! New York fashion week is the first week in the season which continues on to London, Milan and finally Paris. Each fashion capital has its own fashion week and editors and buyers fly from city to city to catch all of the shows. Every city has something new to offer. Stay tuned here for fashion month updates!

A Loss in the Fashion Family

Today we learn of a very terrible loss from the great community of fashion. Designer Alexander McQueen has died. He was a revolutionary designer who created beautiful and romantic clothing. He pushed into new frontiers and took fashion to entirely new places. I feel sound in saying that throughout the fashion community he will be very missed. To look at some of this wonderful artists work go to style.com.

Rain Days

Anyone who is here in LA has noticed that our weather has been anything but sunny lately! If you are longing to feel a little more cozy but still cute consider Nacy, this cute little 3/4 sleeve jacket. Its bright color will add a little cheer to your dreary rainy day and the 3/4 length will transition well to summer nights later on!
